Overview
Founded in 1985, Elixir, a CCM (customer communications management) company had outgrown its logo and branding and asked Studio Piko to redesign the brand from top-to-bottom. The founders and CEO wanted the new brand to be bold and disruptive, and messaging to be clear.
With a history of innovation, Elixir’s mission was to continue to seek new ways to make the complicated, simple. We honored their name’s symbology by rebranding Elixir with a droplet of water – turned into a chat bubble. Taking that visual language further, we expanded upon those shapes to unite the overarching brand boldly and memorably.
Beyond the visuals, Elixir’s voice needed to speak more like a human; punctuating the bottom line of their offer and addressing their customers’ pain points. Avoiding buzzwords and jargon that complicates the story, we delivered a verbal guideline that’s bold, simple, smart, and easy for their customers to understand – just like their product.

Disruption. Parallel with the new product launch, Elixir asked Studio Piko to craft a clear brand story and a new identity that would disrupt the industry dominated by look-alike brands and complicated, tech-heavy messaging.
The system. The branding system embodies and builds on the Elixir name and business, with the initial water drop icon becoming a chat bubble. The rest of the system adopts the circular visual language in the iconography, website, social and print collateral.
