Challenge
Pickard Chilton is an internationally acclaimed architectural firm that designs large, complex, and often transformative buildings. Known for its people-oriented spaces that redefine urban communities, the studio is recognized for its pioneering work on some of the world’s most significant and iconic buildings, such as the 300 North LaSalle in Chicago, ExxonMobil Energy Center in Houston, and most recently the Uber Sky Tower concept in Los Angeles—Uber’s vision for a next-generation urban aviation transport hub.
The firm was in the process of evolving—the leadership team added younger faces and new technologies began to play a bigger part in everyday projects. The challenge was to redefine Pickard Chilton's digital identity while adding new tools for the company to grow its digital presence.
Solution
Working in collaboration with Design & Co., and the architects, we designed a modern website for Pickard Chilton that captures its people-centric and value-driven architecture in a vibrant and easy to maintain website.
The responsive website features Pickard Chilton's diverse body of work while capturing the firm’s design architect essence. The homepage is presented as a rich collection of the latest projects, featured work, news, social posts, as well data bits that give a nod to the firm's value-driven approach.
The work portfolio is presented as an immersive, full-screen grid of animated projects that highlight the firm vast body of work. A simple yet powerful filter tool can adjust and reorganize the projects live by type, location, and status, the latter particularly useful for targeting potential clients interested in current work. Each individual project page includes a large set of data bits, a high-resolution gallery, related work as well as integrated news and social posts associated with the project. On the back-end, the entire site is driven by an intuitive and easy-to-use content management system.
