Challenge
Annual Report for CycleKids, a non-profit that promotes healthy lifestyle choices by introducing kids to bicycling, bike safety, and proper nutrition. With a limited budget, our main challenge was how to create an immersive print annual that brings awareness to the organization.
Solution
Inspired by a fortuitous coincidence that turned a spilled granola mix into the letter “C,” the report spells out CycleKids with its essence—bike tools, oranges, pencils, helmets, etc. Mixed in are photographic case studies featuring children, teachers, and organization volunteers. Annual enrollment charts are drawn on basketball courts and soccer stadiums—places where Cyclekids conduct most of their classes. The front and back covers are crafted by the children at the organization.
A copy of the report was sent to Michelle Obama by the founder of the organization in light of her work on child obesity and nutrition. Created at Weymouth Design.
Recipient of the Graphis Platinum and Mohawk 12 Platinum awards.
